NFL Running Backs disrespected

The amount of money in pro sports is insane…the fact some of the top running backs in the NFL can’t come to an agreement with there franchise is a bit odd. If you do not have a stud running back you will limit your entire offense. Guys like Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs are assets to a run game yes, but I also believe the pass game as well.

If an opposing defense knows the offense they are going up some strong running back play that upcoming week, they are more than likely going to be more aggressive in the box, as well as lining up slighlty closer to the line of scrimmage. If the team has no running back, they assume that the offense must resort to there pass game, hence playing a more structured coverage for passing that day. You have to respect the game.

Additionally - the running back position is one of the most badass positions in sports. You need to have that dawg in you. Between injuries and consistently taking big hits it is hard to string together outstanding seasons. If you have a high value running back why not pay the man!
